There has been much speculation on the release date of ofp2. If I can point you back to a post on the released date back in December 2008 Operation Flashpoint 2009 release. I mentioned that the game would be released in 2009 but when ofp2:online just didnt know.
Community forums and general community news have stated that Operation Flashpoint 2 will be released June/July of this year. Obviously this has not been the case and the release has yet again again been pushed backwards. With this said, there is confirmation that ofp2 will be released in October the last quarter of 2009.
Codemasters the creators of Operation Flashpoint 2 have released confirmation that the game will be released on the 6th of October 2009. Codemasters still have the right to push this date back yet again. I wouldnt be surprised if this happens, but any fan of ofp2 would agree that even if Codemasters decided to extend the release, the wait would be worth while.

How can you be a fan of OFP2 when it hasn’t even released yet. If you are already a fan of OFP2 i feel sorry for you, for that this game may never launch. What? Its been pushed back 5 times for 2+ years. A fan of OFP2? Get real. Codemasters = Joke

I think if they pushed it back again it would start to really upset even the hardcore OFP fans like me. I would rather the truth than another speculative date. Please, if it isn’t going to be on the 6th then better not try to set that date to begin with. Don’t set a date on hope but rather on a deadline.

ive got mine, dunno how i managed to get it 5 days before official release?? . it kicks ass over arma, been waiting for a game of this caliber since medal of hounor…..it was well worth the wait

I have been a OFP for afew years now , but with all the new games coming out, if this game gets pushed back AGAIN im spending my money on something else for sure. i think there are alot of “fans” that would agree, not everything is “woth while” .

i went today October 6th future shop said they had it on the 4th i went in and they didnt(what a piss off!!!), went to wallmart, they didnt have it, went to ebgames they didnt get it and nither did my gamestop so if it came out today (the 6th) not 1 store in my area got it and i spend 2 hours after school looking im pissed and probably wont buy the game now because of these mix ups
